Models but more!
More and more we use terms like bloggers, influencers and trend setter, but their meaning is not clear to everyone, nor the difference between them. Today I will try to make a bit of clarity; I will also point out those models that we, here at MY WHITE BOX, think have the factor X, that something that’s difficult to describe in words, which makes a model more interesting, intriguing and “right” than another.

Let’s start with the word blogger which is excessively inflated compared to the true meaning of the word. The blogger is a person who opens a “special” website, the blog, a virtual diary in which they write of their passions, desires and what they know and love.
They WRITE. I put it in capital letters because I want to specify that so many girls who call themselves fashion bloggers are not in the literary sense; they just post pictures of looks without providing information to those who read. This is the case, for example, of Chiara Biasi, who is mistakenly classified fashion blogger by many journalists.
Chiara is an influencer because through her social media and her website she publishes photos, looks and brand names influencing those who follow her with her tastes. The influencer is a person that influences an audience; they have a remarkable following on social media, and the choices they share are also able to influence some of their followers.
Finally, the trend setter is that person who can anticipate trends and dictate the rules of new fashions. They may be an nonconformist who loves to dress extravagantly; a person who travels a lot for work and gets in touch with many realities and different customs; or simply possesses a great taste.
Being a trend setter does not exclude being an influencer or blogger. They are similar figures, with features that make them different but absolutely complementary.

More and more companies and agencies that have to choose which model will become the brand’s testimonial, don’t look just at her portfolio or her beauty, but they also ask for information on her following on social medias. The reason? A girl with following will bring greater visibility to the company and the agency that chooses her!
This parameter is also used in the choice of photographer, fashion stylist, art director and other professionals who will take part in the project. So everything becomes more social and digital because the more advertising, exposure and sharing of the work (backstage photos, official photos, etc.) the greater the media tam tam .
MODELS WITH FACTOR X … according to US!
And now let’s see the models that for us at My White Box, have something that makes them special! Starting from the summit, the throne undoubtedly belongs to Irina Shayk, one of the world’s best known and appreciated top models. Irina has more than 6 million followers on her IG profile and an average of 70,000 like per photo, you may understand the exposure a company has by choosing her as a testimonial!
An example of a well known model/influencer in Italy (because she lives here even though she was born in Buenos Aires), is Candela Novembre, wife of Fabio Novembre one of the most renowned designers in the world. Her IG account is followed by over 400K people.
The fun part for us is that of the trend setter models! Those girls who dare, risk and post pictures of looks that will be taken as inspiration by designers and artists.
Among the younger we want to point out Charliex Barker a model a bit over the top and very unconventional that counts over 600k of followers!
Little known to the new generations but fortunately still a very appreciated icon of style and muse to brands like Chanel, I would like to recommend Ines de la Fressange. She was one of the top models that have literally made fashion. Known and appreciated for her french, chic and bonton look, she still is an inspiration for those who love class and sophistication.
